Blogging Over 40 – Interview with Jennifer Foxx
Can you tell our readers about yourself and your blog?
My blog is catered to music educators. I am a piano teacher so most of my experience lies specifically with piano students. Though a lot of what I share can be used for all music students whether private or in a classroom.
I blog teaching ideas, share resources (others as well as my own), do reviews all related to music education.
Describe how you got into blogging?
I started out in blogging as a way to share. I felt that I had something to offer. I enjoyed the blogs that I subscribed to and thought it would be fun to do as well. I had no clue at the time that it would turn into what it is now.
How old were you when you started your blog?
What is your blog niche?
Music Educator Resources
Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
What do you do in your spare time?
Spare time? Ha! Ha! Our family enjoys traveling when we can. We love roller coasters, amusement theme parks, Hawaii. I enjoy Zumba and also enjoyed boxing for exercise until an injury…
Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?
Five years from now I would like my blog to reach the point of being 75-85% of my income.
How much time do you spend blogging?
I blog on average a couple times a week. Most of my time is spent on creating resources.
What was your greatest failure and what did you learn from that?
Oh I’m still learning!
Tell me about your proudest blog achievement?
When teachers would recognize my name when I would attend a conference. I thought that was super fun. I love meeting and connecting with other teachers.
