I am pretty sure you are one of the millions of people who have seen the video “Chewbacca Mom” that went viral recently on Facebook. I absolutely love the video, I laughed until I cried.
It’s amazing to me how someone can decide to do a small simple video about their excitement for something and it bring so many others joy and laughter, lot’s of people out their probably needed it.
I am sure you are wondering, what does this have to do with blogging.
Well let me tell ya!
Do you want your blog or a blog posts to bring something good to someone or many others out there?
Do you want to bring them joy or laughter?
Do you want them to remember you for what you might have done for them?
Of course you do.
So when it comes down to your blog or blog posts, there are some things that the Chewbacca Mom could teach us.
I am not going to talk about going Viral because I have no clue about that, never have done it.
I am going to talk about what she can teach us about our blogs and what we can put into our blog posts to maybe give our readers that feeling of joy, laughter or just give them something that they really need to keep coming back to you.
What The Chewbacca Mom Can Teach Us About Blogging
1. Have Fun
Have Fun when writing your posts. You do not want to sit down to write and it bore you because if it does, it’s going to bore your readers too.
You need to be writing about something that brings you joy. Something that gave you that feeling of excitement or laughter. Something that you are passionate about.
Make it fun for you and your readers.
2. Be Yourself
I am sure you have heard this before, but it’s true, you need to be yourself. Don’t go writing your posts and try and sound like someone else, your readers will probably see right through it.
Your readers want to hear you, listen to you, know about you.
Would you trust someone that you had no clue about?
No, of course not!
3. Add Humor
I love reading blogs that have added some humor to their posts, it makes it more interesting.
I also love reading blogs that make me laugh.
If there is any possible way that you could add a little humor to your blog, then do it. I know that some niches/posts are probably hard to do that with but most out there can add it in.
I have actually added a little humor to a few of my posts and some of my readers just loved it. While I do not do it in all of them, I do try to do it from time to time, if I can.Check out what the Chewbacca Mom can teach you about blogging!Click To Tweet
