We all know that finding that perfect keyword for our blog posts is very important but even better, finding that perfect long tail keyword that is going to help you rank better.
I have used many different ways to search for keywords, like using the Google Keyword Planner and even searching google in general but just last year, I found out how to use Pinterest for Keyword Research.
With that being said..
Why wouldn’t you want to use Pinterest to search for a keyword. I think it makes a great tool for searching because isn’t Pinterest a big traffic source, it is for me.
How to use Pinterest for Keyword Research
Searching Pinterest for keywords is very simple. Just a few steps and I am sure you can find a great keyword for your next post.
Step 1: Search your topic on Pinterest
Pull up Pinterest and in the search bar across the top, type in your topic (in my example, I chose Blogging). As you are typing your topic word, you will see that Pinterest will populate suggestions for you to choose from, if needed.
Step 2: Looking for a long tail keyword in Pinterest search
As you can see in the graphic below, I wanted to not just look for blogging but to narrow it down to a small group of bloggers or blogging topics.
You can see where it populated, blogging for beginners, blogging for money and more.
Step 3: Finding that longer long tail keyword
I wanted to narrow my search for blogging even more, so I chose, blogging for beginners. From there it gave me even more ideas, such as, blogging for beginners wordpress or even blogging for beginners tutorials.
See where I am going here with this?
There are other ways also to find keywords on Pinterest and Search Engine Land describes these others ways in great details.
