I have always washed my hands with soap and used Hand Sanitizer on a daily basis, but now, I am using it more often.
With the scare of so many different viruses, it’s hard to find hand sanitizer anywhere sometimes, even online. So many people are looking into how to make your own hand sanitizer.
I came across this DIY recipe on how to make your own if you are needing some or like making your own recipes for things instead of store bought stuff.
It is a good idea to keep these items items on hand so that you will always have what you need when to make more hand sanitizer. So make sure to grab extras if you can.
Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer – Ingredients
- 2/3 Cup Isopropyl alcohol 91% (rubbing alcohol)
- 1/3 cup Aloe Vera Gel
- Essential Oil in your choice of fragrance (optional)
- Small or Medium Mixing Bowl
- Spoon
- Empty Container
- Masking Tape for labeling
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, stir Isopropyl alcohol and Aloe Vera gel until well blended
- Add 8-10 drops of scented essential oil. (stir to incorporate)
- Pour the homemade hand sanitizer into an empty container and seal. Label it with the tape and apply it to container.

Notes
Using at least 60% alchohol is recommended. If you use a higher percentage of alcohol, decrease the amount of aloe Vera to 1/4 cup.
