This children’s book was inspired by real moments in my home — and by two very real pets who were deeply loved.
Meow Meow and Bella were part of our family.
They’ve both since passed on, but the memories they left behind are still very much alive — especially the closet story that inspired this book.

From time to time, Meow Meow would actually open the closet door — and when he did, it would scare Bella every single time.
No matter how many times it happened, Bella never expected it.
And Meow Meow never seemed to stop finding it amusing.
It became one of those everyday moments you laugh about, talk about, and never forget.
That real-life interaction — playful, surprising, and very them — stayed with me long after they were gone. Eventually, it became the heart of this story.
