Things to Do in East Texas This Weekend | April 3-5, 2026
Spring weekends in East Texas always give people plenty to choose from, and this one is no different. From the final days of Tyler’s Azalea Trail to spring fun in Palestine and Nacogdoches, there are several good options for a weekend outing. Just keep in mind that Saturday, April 4 looks like the roughest weather day in Tyler, with heavy rain and thunderstorms possible, while Sunday, April 5 looks much nicer
Enjoy Tyler’s Azalea & Spring Flower Trail
One of the biggest seasonal highlights in East Texas is Tyler’s Azalea & Spring Flower Trail, which runs March 20 through April 5, 2026. This annual event features more than ten miles of residential gardens and historic homesites filled with azaleas, tulips, wisteria, dogwoods, and other spring blooms, making it one of the prettiest weekends of the year to explore Tyler.
Tyler
- 67th Azalea & Spring Flower Trail continues through Sunday, April 5, so this is one of the last weekends to enjoy it. Great for scenic drives, spring photos, and a low-cost day out.
- Rose City Comedy: All-Stars Weekend! is listed on Visit Tyler for April 3-4, which gives you an indoor option if the weather turns messy.
- Tyler Fine Art Gallery Grand Opening is Saturday, April 4, from 5:30-9:00 p.m. in downtown Tyler.
- Karaoke at Daiquiris (Every Friday night) with Krusin' Karaoke with Jerry Payne

Palestine
- 88th Texas Dogwood Trails Celebration continues through April 5, with dogwood blooms, spring color, and seasonal activities around town and Davey Dogwood Park.
- The Redlands History Hunt runs daily March 20-April 5 from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., so that gives you a self-guided option all weekend.
- National Historic Marker Weekend is an official Palestine event for this weekend, centered on volunteering and local history.
Nacogdoches
- Nacogdoches Spring Carnival runs April 2-5 at the Nacogdoches County Exposition & Civic Center.
- Karaoke & Burger Friday is on Friday, April 3, from 8 p.m. to midnight at Lugnutz Bar & Grill.
- Farmers Market is on Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to noon in downtown Nacogdoches.
