Never would I have ever thought I would be keeping my tree up this year and transition from Holiday to Winter decor, I am loving it.

Let me be honest with you, I love in a small home, basically apartment size. The only time I really put up holiday decor through out most of the house is Christmas time.

Starting this year, I have decided to keep my tree up year around and decorate it for different holidays and seasons, so here we go with winter. I am so glad I flocked it for the holidays, it’s going to work great all year.

Now that Christmas is over, I am only decorating in one corner of the living room, where the tree is, keeping it simple.

Every craft/diy that I do through out the year will either be put on this tree or somewhere around it.

Here are a few photos of how I did my winter decor, it’s not a lot but I think it’s so cute. I even kept my Splatter Screen Snowman out and added him in, he is a winter item.

How to transition from Holiday to Winter Decor

In the photo below, I added in my diy hanger snowflake that you might have seen others make. I did not do a diy on it but you can find them over on Pinterest and maybe make one for your home.

The other diy in this photo is something I just through together and added it in. I had a painted board that I had picked up somewhere and hot glued some pine cones onto it and stenciled in “Let It Snow” that I had picked up at Dollar Tree.

I then added fake snow to the pine cones for the finished look.

Now don’t laugh at my stenciling, it’s awful as you can probably tell but it will do for now.

The small little green tree below from the Christmas section at Walmart and they had them on clearance after the holiday. I picked one up for this occasion.

This little white tree came from Dollar Tree, it was the only one I could get a few months back because the green ones kept selling out before I could get to them. This one worked out perfect for the winter scene.
