Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings - Instructions
- In a large bowl of plate, add flour, garlic, onion, lemon pepper, black pepper and
use a fork to mix well.
- Preheat canola or vegetable oil in a deep fryer, Dutch oven or extra deep skillet. Drop a
small pinch of flower to see if oil is hot enough. You want about 1-2 inches of oil in your pan if
you’re not using a deep fryer

- Meanwhile, pat chicken wing sections dry using paper towels. Then dip them in the flour
and coat all sides and sit to the side of the bowl. When you have done about 9, add each one
into the hot and ready oil.

- Cook approximately 12-15 minutes, making sure to turn if you are using a more
shallow pan. When they are done, place them on a plate with a paper towel over it.

- Toss the wings in the sauce(recipe below), or dip them into the sauce and place
on a serving dish.

Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Sauce - Instructions
- Heat the butter in the microwave for 20-30 second intervals until melted.
- Once the butter is melted, pour in the hot sauce, honey, lemon juice, and seasonings
- Mix the sauce well until it is fully combined. You may need to heat it back up as batches are cooked.
- Dip or toss the wings in the sauce and enjoy!

If you happen to have some of the sauce left over like I did, don't throw it out, use it for dipping if you don't want to pour more over the chicken.

Travel Prep Tips
If you are making these wings for a getaway, here are a few ways to make them easier:
- Mix the dry seasoning at home and pack it in a small container.
- Make the sauce ahead of time and keep it chilled in a sealed jar.
- Check whether your vacation rental has a deep skillet, oven, air fryer, or enough cookware.
- Pack disposable pans or foil for easier cleanup.
- Serve with simple sides like chips, veggie trays, potato salad, rolls, or bagged salad.
- If traveling with raw chicken, keep it cold in a cooler and cook it soon after arrival.
