Dollar Tree Splatter Screen Easter Bunny
Still on the splatter screen trail? I am, and I couldn’t go without making a Dollar Tree Splatter Screen Easter Bunny since Easter will be here before you know it too.
I was so excited to see my local DT putting out Easter (and Spring) stuff so early. I love Spring and I was so ready to start making crafts for it.
I promise you, this is not my best work. I kinda made the bunny in a hurry with materials I already had on hand from the Dollar Tree.
I even missed a big spot while spray painting it (as you can probably tell) and didn’t even notice until I almost had it finished the project.
But I still think she’s cute.
I made this splatter screen craft to hang on the door or wall this time, which is different than the other ones I had made this way.
Wanted to try it a little different to see how I liked it.
You can also get the splatter screen with long handles and make this bunny so that it will stand up.
If you would like to do it that way, you can follow the instructions on my other posts listed below.

Materials – Splatter Screen Easter Bunny
Everything below was purchased at Dollar Tree except spray paint, E6000 and ribbon which I already had on hand.
- Splatter Screens (3 with middle knob for hanging)
- Floral wire
- Spray paint (white)
- Foam board (white)
- Construction paper (used pink and black)
- Buttons
- Pom Poms (white)
- Jute Cord
- Ribbon
- Hot Glue
- Mod Podge
- E6000 Glue

Instructions – Splatter Screen Easter Bunny
- Take all 3 splatter screens and remove the knobs
- Spray paint them white and let dry
- Lay them out (as shown below) and attach them with floral wire.
- Take the white foam board and cut out bunny ear shapes
- Do the same with pink construction paper (but smaller) to fit inside of foam board ears.
- Apply some Mod Podge to one side of pink construction paper ears and lay on each foam board ear.
- Once applied, apply another layer of Mod Podge over the ears to seal and let dry.
- To apply the ears to the splatter screen, use a combination of E6000 glue and hot glue and let dry. The reason I said both is because I used just the hot glue to start and I ended up having to reattach later.
- Cut out round shapes of black construction paper for eyes and attach with hot glue
- Cut pieces of jute cord to form whiskers and mouth.
- Take pom poms and hot glue to eyes and sides of mouth.
- Hot glue some buttons to bottom half with pom poms in between (optional)
- Take your ribbon and make a bow and hot glue to top of head or neck (optional)
You can make your bunny look however you want, use whatever craft supplies you want and give it the look you desire.
There are no rules in crafting. Make it yours!
These are just the items that I had and used. I am pleased with it except the mishap of the spay paint, oopsss!

I hope you enjoyed this Dollar Tree craft and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
